about
‘When Stoves Fly' (previously name as Plan 14: Stove ⇌ Jet engine) presents a real story of budget airlines and carbon offsets market through a metaphoric evolution process of a portable stove into a modern aircraft engine. Speculated technical drawings and narrative painting are made to illustrate a fictional metamorphosis between the two technologies. The Plan 14 project at the end becomes a contemporary mythology for the ambiguous nature of carbon offset strategy.
